Volt Delta International powers T-Com’s new Automated Directory Assistance Service in Germany

Sunbury-on-Thames, England, June 14, 2006 – Volt Delta International, a subsidiary of US based Volt Information Sciences (NYSE: VOL), has provided the technology that is supporting T-Com’s new and recently launched automated directory assistance system accessible by dialing 11864.

Volt Delta supplied its complete OASIS platform to T-Com and following a successful test phase, the new service has been launched and promoted to German consumers under the 11864 access number brand.

The system includes a complete installation of Volt Delta’s OASIS product platform for providers of directory services including the OASIS Call Distribution System, a soft-switch with SS7 (ZZN7 variant) signalling to the national network.

In delivering its complete solution to T-Com, Volt Delta sourced and integrated a variety of technology components from suppliers including Envox and also Nuance Communications. Callers will also experience T-Com 11864’s unique custom voice to guide them through the largely intuitive service to quickly find the telephone number they require, before offering them the ability to be immediately connected.
