INFOTE of Greece to implement new directory publishing platform
Athens, Greece – 12 April 2007: DPS, the directory publishing platform offered by Volt Delta International, has been chosen by INFOTE of Greece to replace its current publishing platform. INFOTE is Greece’s largest provider of yellow pages; Volt Delta International is a subsidiary of the US based Volt Information Sciences (NYSE: VOL).
“We chose DPS because it manages all aspects of our publishing business within a single, integrated system that’s modularly built and designed around workflow principles,” said Dr. Ioannis Vassilaras, Chief Executive Officer of INFOTE. “We had reached a point where the amount of effort and cost involved in integrating and synchronizing the various components and third-party applications of our previous system was prohibitive to business. With DPS we’ll be able to conduct our day-to-day work more efficiently, implement workflow changes more flexibly, instantly reduce our costs and focus on our core activity of connecting advertisers and consumers, today and in the future.”
DPS was developed using an exclusively Microsoft platform and MS technology tools, guaranteeing a built-in level of familiarity and comfort. It handles all essential directory publishing tasks, from customer and contract management through to marketing and sales campaign management, content management, billing and book production with unmatched pagination speed. Uniquely, DPS was also designed to enable a seamless, measured transition to web, voice and mobile yellow pages services. Based on its multimodal “plug-in” approach and Volt Delta International’s expertise and experience in new media solutions, it allows directory publishers to move with ease to the media their customers and advertisers choose to use most.
“DPS will put INFOTE in a position to gain more control over corporate processes and thus to work more effectively and cut costs in their day-to-day directory publishing activities,” said Reiner Jakubietz, Head of Publishing Solutions at Volt Delta International. “We’re also tremendously pleased that INFOTE will be using a platform that will allow it to take its mind off technology and concentrate instead on continuing to provide high-value, innovative ways for advertisers and consumers to meet each other in the Greek marketplace.”
