Volt Delta announces contract win at Fonecta Group in Finland

SUNBURY-ON-THAMES, UK, JUNE 17, 2008: Volt Delta International, a subsidiary of US based Volt Information Sciences (NYSE: VOL), has been awarded a contract from Fonecta Group in Finland to supply its IP-based switching and contact centre system. The contract was awarded in November 2007 and the implementation project has since progressed well, with the formal acceptance and production use scheduled for later this year.  The Volt Delta system will be used to support all of Fonecta’s voice-based information services including the national 02 02 02 and 118 directory assistance services.

Volt Delta has supplied its leading OASIS platform, a comprehensive IP-based switching and contact centre system to allow Fonecta to completely update its legacy voice and data systems to VoIP, whilst still supporting Finnish SS7 signalling for network interconnect. The solution also includes the OASIS IP-IVR for call automation including trial use of a “store and forward” call flow and real time monitoring tools for VoIP quality of service.

As well as providing a much more flexible system, based on VoIP, the solution also includes Volt Delta’s 360 Personal system. This will allow Fonecta to offer a tailored and highly personalised caller experience to its customer base. Also included is a rich set of billing capability, supporting both online and offline billing with CDR generation to enable Fonecta to charge more flexibly for its services.

With the OASIS product set Fonecta gains a very wide range of contact centre and switching capability, all pre-integrated, with universal management and consolidated management information systems across the various different sub-systems. In addition the system includes integrated call and agent screen recording, SMS capability and rich OASIS CTI for third party integration.

Together with its system delivery, Volt Delta has been providing a range of professional services during the project implementation and roll-out phases and will also provide full 24x7 support services.
