Volt Delta announces deployment of an OASIS on-call managed service by Cable & Wireless in the Channel Islands & Isle of Man to support its mobile pay-as-you-go top-up service
SUNBURY-ON-THAMES, UK, AUGUST 11, 2008: Volt Delta International, a subsidiary of US based Volt Information Sciences (NYSE: VOL), has deployed an OASIS on-call managed service to Cable & Wireless in the Channel Islands & Isle of Man to support its mobile pay-as-you-go top-up service.
The Volt Delta mobile top-up solution provides an automated balance enquiry and mobile phone top-up service to pay-as-you-go customers on the Sure mobile network which operates across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Sure is the largest mobile network in this region with over 70,000 customers.
The system has been deployed as a managed service offering provided by Volt Delta and hosted at Cable & Wireless’ main office in Guernsey.
The OASIS IVR platform supports callers with a simple to use DTMF service interaction and accesses Cable & Wireless’ billing, mobile systems and online payment platform to manage and process transactions. The system therefore provides callers with an easy to use telephone based service for balance enquiry and to add credit to their mobile phones. In addition callers can top-up alternative mobile phones as well as their own.
The OASIS on-call top-up system also provides automated daily reporting of platform and caller activity.
As part of its delivery Volt Delta provided the complete application development, implementation and end-to-end testing for the service and now provides operational management and monitoring of the service on an ongoing basis.
